Position Summary
Black River Contracting is seeking an experienced Long Reach Excavator Operator for specialty excavation including drainage work, pond construction, deep utility trenching, and slope work.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate long reach excavator safely and efficiently
- Perform deep trenching, slope shaping, and reach excavation
- Maintain stability and safe operation on variable terrain
- Read grade stakes and follow project plans
- Coordinate with ground crews and foreman
- Conduct daily equipment inspections
Qualifications
- 3+ years excavator experience
- Experience operating long reach equipment preferred
- Strong understanding of soil conditions and trench safety
- Ability to maintain precision at extended reach
- Valid driver’s license
Work Environment
- Outdoor, variable terrain
- High attention to safety and machine awareness
- Seasonal extended hours possible
