Black River Contracting performs underground utility work for civil construction and infrastructure projects. Our scope includes trenching, excavation, pipe placement, and backfill for utility systems installed beneath roads, sites, and developed areas.

Common questions
- Do you call in utility locates before trenching?
- Always. We request locates through SD811 (or Wyoming 811 across the line) before we dig, and hand-dig or pothole to expose existing lines where the trench crosses them.
- Do you restore the site after the trench is backfilled?
- Yes. We backfill and compact in lifts so the trench doesn't settle, then restore the surface to grade.
